Nicole Williams English Breaks Down Barriers For SI Swimsuit 2023 Issue

Nicole Williams English is gearing up for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut, which is projected to be a full-on dream come true for the longtime model.

The 34-year-old Nia Lynn designer is expected to make a splash in the 2023 issue, after doing something only one other person has ever done before in the sport magazine's history.

Williams English broke down barriers while posing for her shoot while being seven months pregnant with her now-newborn daughter, India Moon.

Prior to welcoming her baby to the world with husband and former NFL player Larry English back in January, Williams English got in front of the cameras while visibly pregnant, becoming only the second model in SI Swimsuit history to ever do so.

"The fact that I’m actually a rookie and shooting while pregnant, it’s just really cool to know that my baby girl is going through this with me and that one day she’s gonna look back and see all these photos and know that she was shooting for SI with mama,” the Toronto-native told the publication, noting that she never thought she would be shooting for the magazine, nevermind doing it while carrying a child.

Williams English first announced her pregnancy while walking in the brand's Miami Swim Week runway show alongside her husband last summer.

"We are even more honored that she chose us to celebrate her pregnancy journey— shooting for the issue seven months pregnant and then stepping back in front of the lens with 6-week-old India Moon, her beautiful daughter and our youngest most precious model to date," said SI Swim editor in chief MJ Day. "There’s power in sharing such an intimate life moment and we are beyond grateful to be a part of that with Nicole."

Posing for SI Swim has always been a dream for Williams English, who has long looked up to the iconic SI Swimsuit models, including Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum. She even had a casting call with the franchise six years ago—so this accomplishment has been a long time coming for Williams English.

“To be able to show my daughter this and to be able to tell her the story of how I got here and how hard I worked to get here and how this was my biggest dream and my biggest goal and to tell her to chase her dreams and never give up, this is just so special," she added.
