Nicole Scherzinger is kicking off summer with a splash—and we mean literally!
The Pussycat Dolls alum officially let the summertime swimsuit content commence on her socials week—even if it wasn't exactly the type of seaside content she was going for.
As seen in a new Instagram post shared on Friday, June 23, the 44-year-old singer was having herself a major mermaid moment in the crystal clear sea water when a massive wave decided to photobomb and completely take Scherzinger out.
The "Buttons" songstress was attempting to flaunt her fit figure in the new video, which featured her wearing a skimpy string bikini with a bright blue pattern. She also appeared to be mouthing the words to "Part of Your World" from Disney's The Little Mermaid, which was also added as the audio for the clip.
But Scherzinger's majestic bikini moment didn't last long, as the tides quickly changed when a wave from behind her came and completely knocked her down.
Despite looking a little caught off guard, the Masked Singer panelist appeared to still have a smile on her face, and was able to get right back up after the fall.

"I wanna be where the people are… 🌊🧜🏽♀️" she captioned the post, which received an assortment of comments that ranged from users laughing at the fall to fawning over her seriously toned bikini body.
