Nicole Kidman Says That More Big Little Lies Isn't Out of the Question

Don't rule out a return to Monterey. During a panel with the Television Critics Association, Nicole Kidman says that Big Little Lies season 3 is definitely a possibility — if only the Monterey Five weren't so busy.

"We would love to," she said of participating in a third season. "But there are ideas that are further on down the track ... we've been so focused on The Undoing." According to Variety, Kidman has been working with BLL writer David E. Kelley for her latest project, a six-part limited series called The Undoing.

Kidman, who's obviously keeping up with her cast mates, mentioned that she and Reese Witherspoon are both busy and committed to various other projects. She even name-dropped Laura Dern, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Marriage Story.

"Right now look at Laura, I don't think we'd ever get Laura back," Kidman said. "She's working in so many different things right now."

As for Zoe Kravitz, she's in the D.C. universe now with her role as Catwoman and she's also set to release a new adaptation of High Fidelity on Hulu.

"So I think everyone's working in incredibly good places, which is lovely thing to have come out of that show," Kidman added. "Hopefully we can all collide again at some point."

As for Kelley, he didn't completely discount another season, either, though he did mention that now, more than ever, audiences are spoiled with the sheer amount of TV that's available.

"The public has so much to watch," he said. "There’s a burden on 'why should they tune in to you?' We try to live up to the entertainment burden."
