It’s not uncommon for celebrities to get prenups before getting married—with lots of assets to protect, it’s normal to want to have things planned out if something were to go awry. But Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s prenup is one of the craziest we’ve seen, mostly because of the cocaine clause!

Urban and Kidman will be celebrating 18 years of marriage this year, and appear to still be madly in love, so hopefully, the terms in this prenup will never have to be brought up. Keep reading to learn more information about this wild prenup.

Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman's Prenup

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman definitely have assets to protect: they're worth $75M and $250M respectively, and share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Kidman also has two children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, Isabella and Connor.

According to their prenup, if the couple were to divorce, Kidman would be required to pay Urban $600,000 per year for every year that they stay together. Now, nearly 18 years later, that's over $10M! The catch, however is that Urban would only get this money if he stays away from drugs and alcohol."

Keith Urban's Substance Abuse Struggles

Keith Urban struggles with addiction—back in the early days of his career, he abused alcohol and hard drugs regularly. "I didn't seem able to stop," Keith said of this time in his life. "I'd go to sleep, wake up a couple of hours later, go at it again, drinking to take the edge off." He actually did a stint in rehab in 1998, but unfortunately it didn't stick—until he met Nicole.

The same year that Kidman and Urban got hitched (2006), Urban spent three months in rehab, trying to get sober. And he was successful! He says he owes it all to his beautiful bride: "I was spiritually awoken with her," he says, "I use the expression 'I was born into her,' and that's how I feel. And for the first time in my life, I could shake off the shackles of addiction."

Kidman feels the same way about her husband; she once said, "That man is the best thing that's ever happened to me." Sounds like a match made in heaven!
