Nicole Kidman Keeps It Monochromatic With Suede Pumps at ‘Expats’ Screening

Nicole Kidman attended a special screening of “Expats” held in Sydney on Wednesday. The “Eyes Wide Shut” actress graced the screening alongside her husband Keith Urban.

For the special screening, Kidman wore a pair of neutral and sleek suede pumps. The Australian actor’s footwear featured sharp triangular toes and textural suede uppers that offered the footwear a dynamic appearance. 3 to 4-inch stiletto heels rounded out the set, offering Kidman a substantial boost in height.

The footwear’s neutral composition made the silhouette exceedingly versatile. For this application, however, the pair acted to finish off Kidman’s ensemble cohesively, coordinating with her equally neutral designer wears. Pumps, no matter the style or composition, are a closet staple for many stars, Kidman included.

Accompanying her neutral footwear, Kidman was outfitted in a skin-tone corsetted gown from Fendi. The couture gown featured a structural strapless bodice that transitioned into lush draping that sat to one side just above her hip and a striking slit that traveled up the length of her leg. For the finishing touches, Kidman wore various dazzling gold jewelry that provided extra shine to her look.

Kidman’s shoe styles often veer between the casual and undoubtedly sleek. On the red carpet, the “Stepford Wives” star typically wears pointed-toe pumps and heeled sandals with a range of colors and embellishments, hailing from top brands including Aquazzura, Jimmy Choo, Alexandre Birman and Manolo Blahnik. Her chic off-duty style usually includes relaxed pairs with flat soles, including Celine loafers, padded Bassike sandals and Tabitha Simmons flats.

“Expats” is an upcoming drama television show created by Lulu Wang based on “The Expatriates” a novel by Janice Y. K. Lee. The series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Jan. 26. The show enlists the help of world-class talents, including Nicole Kidman, Brian Tee and Ji-young Yoo, among others.
