Getting your teens to think you’re cool is not easy, even if you’re famous. But sometimes, the perks of fame can help — like when you get the attention of other A-listers! Nicole Kidman recently scored some cool points with her daughters Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13, who she shares with husband Keith Urban, and it’s all thanks to the help of Olivia Rodrigo.
The Expats star shared a TikTok made by Rodrigo on her Instagram story on Tuesday, per Entertainment Tonight, writing, “You just won me some major points with my girls! Adore you, @oliviarodrigo xx 😂🤍👏.”

The TikTok in question was a spoof the “Vampire” singer made of Kidman’s famous AMC Theatres pre-screening commercials. Before one of her concerts, Olivia walks down the empty bleachers and lip synchs to audio from Kidman’s commercial. “We come to this place for magic,” Rodrigo mouths along to Kidman’s voice. She’s wearing black tights with glittery stars, silver sequin shorts, and a hot pink bra under a white tank top that reads: “We come to this place for magic.”
Then she sits down in a chair and flips her hair, looking at the camera to say, “We come to AMC Theatres to love, to cry, to care.” She eats from a huge bag of popcorn, shows the crew setting up the stage, and more. What an honor to have Olivia Rodrigo recreate her famous commercial! It’s easy to see why Kidman suddenly looked cooler in her daughters’ eyes.
To make Kidman even cooler, she should do what Jimmy Kimmel did: and pick up the “Bad Idea Right?” singer on her way to school drop off. In October, the talk show host shared dashcam footage of him and his wife Molly McNearny giving Rodrigo a ride on their way to take their kids Jane, 9, and Billy, 6, to school. The talk show host played “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl” and Jane and Rodrigo sung along to it together. Rodrigo is just helping stars impress their kids left and right!
In an interview with Elle earlier this month, the Big Little Lies star praised her daughters’ ages. “I love teenage girls. I just find them exquisite.” She went on, “I marvel at that age group and what they’re dealing with, but also their ability to handle so much.”
Yup, these girls definitely have a cool mom — even if they might not always think so!
These celebrity parents are sharing the struggle — and sweetness — of raising teenagers.
