Nicole Kidman Dropped a Major ‘Big Little Lies’ Season 2 Spoiler & It Changes Everything

Nicole Kidman can’t keep her big little spoilers to herself anymore.

The 51-year-old Big Little Lies star spoke on a panel alongside her co-stars Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep and Laura Dern this week to discuss the season two premiere. All was well and good until Kidman, who plays domestic abuse survivor and new widow Celeste in the series, accidentally spilled some spoiler tea.

When asked about working with Alexander Skarsgård, who played her late on-screen husband in season one, Kidman reportedly had only nice (and revealing) things to say.

“He was the most incredible acting partner, and then he came back for season two,” Kidman accidentally said.

If you’ll remember, Skarsgård’s character, Perry, was pushed down a set of stairs by Zoë Kravtiz’s character, Bonnie, and presumably died. As such, he was not expected to return for season two.

Noting her co-star’s faux-pas, Witherspoon giggled and motioned for Kidman to stop talking, but she carried on.

“He has a little bit of a part in the sense of…the basis of…OK, I’ll be quiet,” she finally reasoned. “He didn’t abandon us. We’ll put it that way.”

Although Perry is dead as far as we know, Skarsgård may have returned to film flashback scenes or something gruesome like a scene in which Celeste has to identify his body. Kidman didn’t offer any further (accidental) details on what’s to come for Celeste and, apparently, Perry.

Big Little Lies returns Sunday, June 9. Now we wait to see what Alexander Skarsgård’s deal is.
