I’m a beauty editor and even I am overwhelmed by all the brands and products in today’s landscape. The lipstick is available online starting today, but it’s already made its way onto the pouts of Nicole Kidman, Anne Hathaway, and Naomi Watts. I’ve also been using it for a month and can personally attest to it being in a league of its own. It’s a matte lipstick but it doesn’t feel like one; It glides on with buttery smooth ease. It feels hydrating, doesn’t make my lips crack, and lasts at least four hours. The matte finish is also subtle, it looks like your lips in their natural state just with more color. There is none of that early 2000s two-dimensional paper-looking effect here. It’s another product made in the image of Westman’s iconic aesthetic — natural yet polished, chic, and high-quality.
Lip Suede Matte comes in 10 shades pink, berry, red, and versatile nude shades. I would like to tell you that there is one definitive must-shop shade, but I actually have five favorites; So instead I’ll share with you what a few of the celebrities have been wearing. Naomi Watts wore Ma Biche, a royal slightly dark red, and Anne Hathaway wore Pique at the Versace Fall 2024 show.
