Nick Viall and His Girlfriend Natalie Joy Are Cuter Than Any ’Bachelor’ Season

Nick Viall has been on so many seasons of The Bachelor/The Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise that it seemed inevitable he’d find love somewhere on the franchise. But nope! Despite multiple onscreen relationships and a whole damn engagement, Nick ended up finding love offscreen with his current girlfriend Natalie Joy and They. Are. Literally. So. Cute. Like, if you need me, I’ll be embarrassing myself over how much I talk about these two in my various Bachelor group chats (that’s right, I HAVE SEVERAL).
So, whomst is Natalie? Since she isn’t a reality TV star *yet*, there isn’t exactly a ton of information about her lurking out there (by “out there,” I definitely mean the wonderful world of Bachelor Reddit). But fear not: We’re bringing you an only slightly unhinged deep dive on everything you need to know about the better half of your favorite Bachelor Nation ’ship.
Nick and Natalie Have Been Dating Since 2020
So, for almost a year! They were first ~linked~ by People, who spoke to a source in January that confirmed Natalie is “great for him.” But fans knew they were dating well before, thanks to some casual social media stalking. Like when Nick posted this video of himself dancing by a pool in September 2020:

TBD *exactly* when they met, but back in May 2020, Nick confirmed to Demi Burnett that he was single, saying, “I’m chatting it up. [Doing] FaceTimes, Zooms. I will say single people out there are as eager as ever. Everyone’s horny. I think it’s a great time if you’re single to actually make new connections and get to know people—granted not ideal to not have the option to meet them in person and do some of those other things.”
So yeah, Nick and Natalie met sometime after May!
Natalie Slid Into Nick’s DMs
That’s correct: There is hope for those of us who regularly slide into our celeb crush’s DMs. Apparently this is how Natalie and Nick met, which he opened up about on his podcast.
“She slid into my DMs. It was very romantic,” he said. “We kind of kept hanging out, and she finally got a point where she was like, ‘I want to date,’ and I was kind of like, ‘I don’t know.’ …She just was like, ‘Okay, this is what I want. It’s fine, no big deal, but I’m gonna go do my thing,’ and she did, and I was like, ‘What?!’…She went and showed me exactly what I’d be missing.”

She’s a Surgical Technologist
Unlike many people lurking in Bachelor Nation, Natalie has an actual 9-to-5 job—as a surgical technologist, no less! Which means she works with doctors performing surgery (casual) and loves every min of it. In fact, back in January 2021, she posted a photo of herself decked out in scrubs with the caption, “i know you can’t see it but i’m 100% smiling under this mask!! seriously love my job.”
Nick also chatted about Natalie’s work on The Viall Files, saying, “What I like about [her line of work] is I know nothing about it. I couldn’t do it. I can’t speak to it. I can’t even try to sound smart to it. And that’s really quite impressive.”

In fact, Nick says all his friends like her more than they like him. “It sounds so cheesy…but she does make me want to be better,” he said on his podcast. “Everyone loves her. Without question, everyone likes her more than me. All of my friends. Without question. And it makes me a little bit insecure about myself.”

Reality Steve shared that Nick and Natalie will make a guest-hosting appearance on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, writing, “Nick and his girlfriend are down there to host, and Wells and Sarah are down there too. I expect the usual cast of alums to make appearances.” So, yep, sounds like Natalie will be coming to TV near you soon. Like, August 16, 2021 soon! Can’t wait to learn more about her then.
