Nick Jonas Says Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s Relationship Is “Beautiful”
Chalk it up to brotherly (in-law) love. After Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas announced their engagement in October, youngest brother Nick Jonas immediately took to social media to congratulate the pair. And for good reason: he knows them well.
“I am very close with Joe,” Nick told People in an interview published Friday, December 15. “We live together in L.A., we spend most of the time that we have off together, so I would say that I know him pretty well at this point.”
Nick sensed that the Game of Thrones actress was a solid fit for his brother from the onset of the romance. “It was pretty clear to me early on that this relationship was one that was sort of meant to be, in a sense,” he noted. “Their connection’s beautiful and their support system with each other is incredible, and everything that you hope you find in your soulmate and I’m really happy for them.”
The topic of best man will be approached when the time is ultimately right. “My brother Kevin, when he got married, he had all of us be the best men,” Nick previously told Entertainment Tonight. “That’s kind of the diplomatic approach, but I don’t know. It’s up to [Joe].”
Meanwhile, Joe shared that this past year has challenged him in terms of his career. “It seems like any day off that I have in the last six or seven months, I’ve been in the studio,” the DNCE frontman said to People. “I’ve been really inspired currently and we’ve been developing a growth of sound for us. I would say for sure in the next six months you’ll hear something new from us.”
