Nick Jonas Fans are Crushed That Gwen Stefani is Taking His Place on 'The Voice' Next Season

From Country Living

  • Gwen Stefani announced that she will be returning as a coach on The Voice next season.

  • After receiving the news, fans are upset that the singer will be replacing Nick Jonas as a full-time coach for Season 19 of the popular reality competition series.

Gwen Stefani is pulling up a chair (again!) for Season 19 of The Voice! The No Doubt frontwoman took to her Instagram on Tuesday to announce the exciting news.

The move will reunite Gwen with her former fellow coaches, including her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, as well as Kelly Clarkson and John Legend.

Some fans are thrilled about the switch-up, especially Gwen's No. 1 fan—Blake! The country star sent out an enthusiastic tweet about the news, saying, "Y’all hear?! @gwenstefani’s back and so is @nbcthevoice!!!!"

Another fan described Gwen's return as "the best news in 2020."

And more than a few fans said they were excited to see Blake and Gwen's sizzling chemistry onscreen again.

But not everyone is looking forward to Gwen's return. Many fans of the show are understandably lamenting the loss of coach Nick Jonas, who stepped in to take Gwen's place when she left the series as a full-time coach after Season 17.

"So upset Nick isn’t a coach on The Voice next season," one tweet said.

"Guess I won't be watching. I loved having Nick on," another fan wrote.

Another fan was so torn that she suggested a new solution: Nick should come back as the show's unprecedented fifth coach!

We can totally understand the mixed feelings here. But no matter where your loyalties lie, the most important thing is that The Voice will be back for another incredible season and we absolutely can't wait to watch!
