NFL upholds Myles Garrett's suspension, reduces Maurkice Pouncey's

The NFL announced on Thursday afternoon that Myles Garrett’s indefinite suspension for the fight that occurred during the Cleveland Browns-Pittsburgh Steelers game would be upheld. Maurkice Pouncey’s suspension was reduced from three games to two games.

Garrett personally appealed his suspension on Wednesday, and he allegedly accused Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph of using a racial slur, which set off the brawl. Garrett’s suspension is over his role in the brawl, in which Garrett ripped Rudolph’s helmet off his head and hit him with it.

Since Garrett’s suspension was upheld, he will be out for the remainder of the 2019 season, and will have to meet with commissioner Roger Goodell before the start of the 2020 season in order to gain reinstatement.
