Rich Eisen isn't ready for Jason Kelce to retire.

Amid reports that the Philadelphia Eagles center, 36, announced his retirement plans to his teammates after their playoffs loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the NFL Network personality took to X (formerly Twitter) to weigh in on the news.

"I love @JasonKelce," he wrote in a candid note to his followers. "One of my favorites. One of the all-time best."

As he continued, Eisen, 54, confessed that he "would sure love to see him keep playing and have a better final result." However, the TV personality acknowledged that this was him "being selfish."

He closed out his message with, "Otherwise, look forward to seeing you and your aura walk elegantly into Canton, sir."

Of course, Eisen isn't the only one to have a strong reaction to Kelce's reported retirement news. Countless fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to the Super Bowl champion.

Fellow NFL star Robert Griffin III writing, "Jason Kelce has elevated the game of football and the awareness of just how awesome Offensive Lineman are. He is a Hall of Famer on the field and off it he is a STAR. Congrats on retirement my brother, you gave the game everything you had."

As for Eagles coach Nick Sirianni? He stayed tight-lipped about the specifics surrounding Kelce's retirement plans, but noted in a statement to reporters, "He’s special and I love him. He’s one of the most special guys I’ve been around.”

Sirianni added, “He’s always got a place here and [I] always want him to play. We’ll see what happens as time progresses.”
