What’s Next for Kaley Cuoco Now That ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Is Over?

It’s been a sad time for fans of The Big Bang Theory, as the show is preparing to air its final episode.

But that’s not stopping Kaley Cuoco from thinking about her next steps after headlining the most-watched sitcom on television for 12 years. The 33-year-old actress filmed her final performance as Penny, the waitress/aspiring actress turned pharmaceutical rep, back in April.

Although a sad time for the cast and crew, Cuoco revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she is very happy with how the sitcom ended. “It is the most beautiful finale I have ever seen, and I love finales,” she said. “I'm thrilled with [Penny's] ending, yet beginning. It's beautiful. There's not anything catastrophic, it's just beautiful. And the characters are gonna live on in your minds and in your hearts, and I think that's what is so special about it. It's really touching.”

As for what’s next, Cuoco already has some things in the works (both professionally and personally). When it comes to home life, Cuoco and her husband, Karl Cook, are taking steps toward a new start—like putting her six-bedroom Tarzana, California, home (which she purchased back in 2014) up for sale. The two are also considering starting a family.

“Kaley and Karl talk about having children,” E! News reports. “They would love to move to a simpler lifestyle and live on a ranch with their horses. Kaley wants her children to be raised riding horses and having a similar country lifestyle that both her and Karl love.” This doesn’t mean she’s done working though.

Professionally, Cuoco will be focusing on her new production company Yes, Norman Productions. This includes two roles for the BBT actress—voicing the titular character in DC Universe's Harley Quinn animated series and producing and starring in The Flight Attendant (a thriller based on the book of the same name)And it seems like this is just the start.

A new home, new production company, two new shows and a possible family? Looks like Forbes’s second-highest paid TV actress isn’t ready to take a break just yet.

“I want to be a full-on girl boss,” she told Cosmopolitan. “I've been in the business so long, and I’ve worked with the best. I don’t let people mess with me. I want to show girls out there that you can be cool, wear yoga clothes, and run your own f--king company. You don't have to be a guy in a suit. I want this to be a big company. I want to be sitting down a few years from now and have so many projects going. That's what I'm excited about.”

So while we are incredibly sad to see Penny (and the rest of the gang) go, we can’t wait to see what Cuoco has in store for us.

The season finale of The Big Bang Theory airs Thursday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
