Is Never Have I Ever season 3 happening?
After watching things heat up between Devi, Ben and Paxton (a.k.a Bevaxton) last season, fans are itching for another season of Never Have I Ever. The intensity of their love triangle brought on serious drama, and it still looks like there will be more because of Ben's reaction to Paxton and Devi at the winter dance. There are still stories to be told, which is why Netflix has officially greenlit NHIE for another season.
The show's Instagram page posted the announcement on August 19, 2021 with a supercut of clips from season 2. In the video, almost every character is seen saying "Oh my God," which is the perfect response to this news.

Yes! The show's official Instagram account gave us a glimpse into Sherman Oaks High for season 3, and news flash — Devi and Paxton are the hottest new couple. Most of the student body doesn't seem to agree, and it looks like there may be trouble in paradise for #Daxton. When is Never Have I Ever season 3 coming out?
Mark your calendars, Sherman Oaks stans — Never Have I Ever season 3 is hitting Netflix on August 12, 2022. Leading lady Maitreyi Ramakrishnan shared the official release date for season 3 in a May 2022 Instagram post. "Oh Devi, what on earth will you do… see you all on AUGUST 12TH FOR SEASON 3💗🫣," she captioned the announcement with some brand new pics from the upcoming season.
What has the cast said about the upcoming season?
The drama at Sherman Oaks High is definitely heating up, according to series lead Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. During an appearance on Good Morning America on August 8, the actress spilled on what's in store for her character, Devi. Plus, she revealed her favorite part of the upcoming season.
"Man, there is so much more drama — as expected, though — the love triangle is now not necessarily a triangle. There's more intensity with the family, there's a bunch going on there," she said. "And honestly, my favorite part is that we really talk about some real stuff that a lot of us can relate to. A lot of insecurities that Devi has to tackle on, and it's really refreshing to watch her grow up."
When asked to clarify the structure of Devi's love situation, Maitreyi said it's an "ever-changing shape." Based on Ben's reaction to Devi and Paxton at the winter dance — oh, and the introduction of Devi's family friend in the trailer — we can certainly see how things will get a lot more complicated.
Who will be coming back for season 3?
Never Have I Ever's current cast will most likely be coming back for a third season. Newcomer Megan Suri will probably be on season 3, and since Aneesa ended up staying at Sherman Oaks, there might be major plot points planned for her character.
Are there any new characters?
Yes! The official Instagram account for the series welcomed new castmember Anirudh Pisharody on January 20, 2022. "Meet Des: he's the whole frickin' package. Welcome to the cast, @anirudh.pisharody!" the caption reads.
Netflix also teased some season 3 news on May 8, 2022, with never-before-seen pics from the upcoming season.

According to a report by Deadline, 9-1-1 star Anirudh will play Des, an "Indian American teen who's as smart as Devi but goes to an elite private school." Looks like Devi and Ben will have more competition!
What will Never Have I Ever season 3 be about?
Based on where we left off, it looks like the Bevaxton love triangle isn't over just yet. Although Ben is now dating Aneesa, he still seems to feel some type of way about Devi after seeing her at the winter dance with Paxton.
Plus, Devi is still trying to figure out who she is and how to deal with the loss of her late father. There's a lot more to explore with the Sherman Oaks squad, so the possibilities are endless.
When did season 3 finish filming?
Season 3 of Never Have I Ever was officially done filming as of March 1, 2022. Darren Barnet, who plays Paxton, shared the news that filming wrapped on February 28, 2022 in a series of Instagram selfies. "Yesterday was our final day of shooting season 3 of @neverhaveiever and we ended off in Malibu! Thank you to everyone who makes this show possible and thank you to our fans. I'm filled with love and gratitude," the actor captioned the post.
