Netflix has officially announced the first cast lineup of Squid Game season two.

Reprising their roles from the first season are Emmy winner Lee Jung-jae at Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun as Front Man, Wi Ha-jun as police detective Jun-ho and Gong Yoo as the Recruiter. Also joining the forthcoming season are Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-hoon and Yang Dong-geun, whose characters are all under wraps as of writing.

Hwang Dong-hyuk will also return to direct and write, as well as executive produce alongside Kim Ji-yeon.

Season two was confirmed in June 2022. “It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular series ever,” Hwang shared in a letter during the initial announcement. “Join us once more for a whole new round.”
