Netflix’s ‘Too Hot to Handle’ Is Returning for Season 2—Here’s What We Know

If you couldn’t get enough of the drama that unfolded on Too Hot to Handle, you’ll be pleased to know the popular Netflix show is returning for season two. So, when does it premiere? And what’s in store for the all-new episodes?

Keep scrolling for everything we know about Too Hot to Handle season two.

1. When will 'Too Hot to Handle' season two premiere?

Too Hot to Handle season two is set to premiere on June 23. But don’t expect to binge-watch the whole thing in one sitting because the new episodes are dropping in two different batches. While the first four are hitting Netflix on June 23, the remaining six are scheduled for release on June 30.

2. What is 'Too Hot to Handle' about?

Think of it as a cross between Love Is Blind and Love Island, following a group of ten single contestants who travel to a tropical paradise in the hopes of winning the grand prize: $100,000. The catch? In order to win, they must keep their hands to themselves. This means that any kissing, holding and “heavy petting” results in a monetary deduction.

We don’t know how season two of Too Hot to Handle differs from the first installment, but according to Brandon Riggs (vice president of unscripted and documentary series at Netflix), the new episodes are filled with surprises.

“We can’t wait for our members to see what’s in store in their second seasons,” he told Deadline. “We’ve added new twists and surprises to keep the games fresh—and all new players that we think fans will love rooting for.”

3. Is there a trailer?

Of course. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t give away any details about the cast, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a few familiar faces. (Perhaps Chloe Veitch?) The teaser does confirm that the show’s cheeky narrator is returning for more, so bring on the backhanded compliments.

4. Where is it filmed?

While the first installment was filmed in Mexico, the specific location for season two is still unknown. However, according to Variety, season two of Too Hot to Handle was filmed at a luxurious beach villa, but it was done overseas (potentially Turks and Caicos) to keep spoilers at bay. The crew even called the show Parties in Paradise “right up to the point that the cameras were rolling.”
