Netflix Reveals The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Release Date With New Posters

The Umbrella Academy is coming to an end, with the time-traveling superhero family’s final adventure releasing later this year. Netflix has released a set of new character posters teasing how each member is dealing with the shocking aftermath of the season 3 finale, and you won’t have to wait long to check in on them. The Umbrella Academy season 4 will be released on August 8, 2024.

In case you forgot, season 3 ended with Allison killing the family’s adopted father, followed by resetting the timeline. Afterwards, the team discovered that they’d lost their powers, with a new version of Reginald towering over the city with a revived Abigail. The team decided to go their separate ways to make sense of this mess, and that’s all we were left with.

The nine posters that Netflix released tease the new paths that Victor, Luther, Allison, Klaus, Ben, Diego, Lila, Number Five and Reginal Hargreeves have taken in the new world.

Like each season before it, The Umbrella Academy season four will explore a new timeline where different events have transpired. The last season saw the team facing off against the Sparrow Academy, an alternate version of the group that Hargreeves put together after the shenanigans of season 2. Will we be meeting another group of superheroes in season four? How will the team adapt to a normal life after all the wacky adventures they've gone through? We’ll just have to wait and see.

The Umbrella Academy is an adaptation of the comic book series created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. The series was created by Fargo writer Steve Blackman and producer Jeremy Slater. The show features some variations but largely sticks to the plot points established in the comics. The final season will draw inspiration from the unpublished fourth volume, “Sparrow Academy”.
