Netflix Releases "Stranger Things 3" Teaser

"In the summer of 1985, the adventure continues."

It’s been a lonely autumn without a new season of Stranger Things to watch (all in one sitting, naturally), but luckily, a brand-new teaser for the upcoming installment of the hit Netflix series is finally here.

The 52-second clip dropped on Sunday, December 9, and while it doesn’t include any glimpses of Eleven, Mike, and the rest of the crew, it does seem to hint at the eight episode titles for Season 3, which will finally be released in 2019. In true Stranger Things fashion, the teaser slowly reveals the show’s neon red logo as the chapter titles flash against the screen in capital letters.

As for the episodes in question, they are: “Suzie Do You Copy?,” “The Mall Rats,” “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard,” “The Sauna Test,” “The Source,” “The Birthday,” “The Bite,” and “The Battle of Starcourt.” If you need anything to do between now and the big release day, there’s plenty to analyze here. Who is getting bitten? What birthday are we celebrating? Will this battle be fatal? At least we have some idea about those aforementioned “Mall Rats;” a previous teaser for the third season showed everyone’s favorite babysitter Steve Harrington working at an ice cream parlor in the Starcourt Mall. (As in, the battle of Starcourt perhaps? Hmmmm.)

Needless to say, fans soon lost their minds on social media. “Stop it I’m screaming!” one Stranger Things viewer tweeted. Another just wrote a slew of “OMG,” which sums up how I’m feeling too, TBH. The official Twitter account for the Netflix series even got in on the excitement, replying to fans with reactionary pictures and gifs.

While there’s still no word (yet) on the specific release date, it seems as though the adventure (which continues in the “summer of 1985,” according to the teaser) is going to be all kinds of epic. If you need me, I’ll be packing for my trip to the Upside Down and refreshing my knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons accordingly.
