Netflix Will Release New Original Movies Every Week in 2021

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we won't be able to go to movie theaters like we used to for quite some time. But Netflix is here to provide you with all the popcorn entertainment you need.

The streaming giant announced on Tuesday, January 12, that it will be releasing new original movies every week in 2021. Yes, you read that correctly: at least one new title a week for the whole damn year. That's a lot of movies.

And star-studded ones, at that. This year we'll see Netflix movies starring Gal Gadot, The Rock, Ryan Reynolds, Amy Adams, Octavia Spencer, Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Hudson, Zendaya, and more of your faves. Some of these A-listers appear in Netflix's video teasing all the movies that will come this year.

Watch it for yourself, below:

A few films I know you're already stoked about:

The Kissing Booth 3 How will Elle's love story end now that she's been accepted to both Harvard (where her boyfriend, Noah, attends) and Berkeley, which has been her and BFF Lee's dream school for eons?

To All The Boys: Always and Forever The third installment of the beloved To All the Boys I've Loved Before film adaptations.

Woman in the Window A thriller starring Amy Adams and Julianne Moore about an agoraphobic woman who sees something sinister while watching her neighbors from her window.

Malcom & Marie I hear Oscar buzz! This movie—conceived and executed entirely in quarantine—stars Zendaya and John David Washington and tells the story of a Hollywood director who returns home from the night of his big movie's premiere and waits in anticipation for the reviews. Drama ensues.

Don’t Look Up Director Adam McKay brings together Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Ariana Grande, and more A-list celebs in this satire disaster movie about two astronomers who try to warn mankind about an asteroid that will destroy the world.

Thank you, Netflix, for keeping us entertained all year long.
