Netflix Will Release More Than 80 Original Movies This Year

Netflix has revealed a full list of every new original movie that will premiere on the streaming platform in 2022, which will include one new release per week.

A star-studded trailer, released on Thursday, sees actors including Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Ryan Gosling and more speak directly to the camera while in character. Elsewhere, stars like Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Reynolds, Halle Berry, Chris Hemsworth, Jason Momoa, Mark Wahlberg Kevin Hart, Queen Latifa and others make appearances to deliver messages about the streamer's upcoming projects.

The new slate features work from Hollywood's top filmmakers, including Guillermo del Toro, Rian Johnson, Anthony and Joe Russo, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Niki Caro, Nora Twomey, Sally El Hosaini, George C. Wolfe, Judd Apatow, Noah Baumbach, Richard Linklater, Kenya Barris, Paul Feig, Tyler Perry, Shawn Levy and Francis Lawrence.

Netflix has published a full list of films on its Tudum website that will premiere on its platform over the course of 2022. Among the more than 80 titles, several have already received release dates, which you can see in the list below.

February 25: Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming

March 2: Against the Ice

March 3: The Weekend Away

March 18: Windfall and Black Crab

April 15: Choose or Die

April 22: Along for the Ride

April 28: Bubble

May 11: Operation Mincemeat

May 13: Senior Year
