Netflix fans can't stop talking about new church cult documentary Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey
Netflix is basically King when it comes to true crime documentaries, and we've seen a whole load of gripping features landing on the platform in recent months. First, there was The Tinder Swindler, then scam story Bad Vegan, and most recently the disturbing true story of Our Father.
It's good news for true crime fans, as Netflix has brought us more of the same with new investigative documentary, Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey. The four-part series takes us inside the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS), a denomination of Mormonism. And viewers can't stop talking about the shocking story.
Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey focuses on the Texas-based polygamous sect led by Warren Jeffs, whom followers believed to be the 'prophet'. The Netflix documentary claims that Jeffs had 78 wives, 24 of whom were underage, and in 2011 he was convicted on two counts of child sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault against a child.
The documentary dropped on Netflix yesterday (8th June) and viewers already can't stop talking about (and praising) the series.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote, "Please go watch Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey on Netflix and tell me why we don’t need feminism and women are treated fairly with respect [sic]. THIS S**T'S HAPPENING TODAY 2022, TODAY."
Another added that they'd "Binge-watched the whole series within one evening," while a third called the show "chilling". Meanwhile, a fourth added, "Watched Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey on Netflix, mmmm I don't even know what to say."

I was watching “keep sweet pray and obey” on #netflix tonight. Binged watched the whole series within one evening. I am shocked how many people and how bad people were affected by one cult leader. How many children and women were abused and how no one spoke up for so long.
