Netflix Drops Official Trailer for Chris Evans and Emily Blunt's 'Pain Hustlers'

Emily Blunt and Chris Evans have teamed up to showcase the dark side of the pharmaceutical industry in Netflix's new movie, Pain Hustlers. The film is based on Evan Hughes' 2022 book, Pain Hustlers: Crime and Punishment at an Opioid Startup and is directed by David Yates.

The official trailer gives audiences a more in-depth look at Blunt's lead role as a single mother who struggles to make ends meet for herself and her daughter. She worked as a stripper until she met a generous customer Pete Brenner, played by Chris Evans, who offers a position to her at his pharmaceutical startup. Her role as a representative for fentanyl sees Blunt transform into a white-collar mom. Albeit unethical, her meeting with Brenner skyrockets Blunt who plays Liza Drake, into an upwards economical trajectory. However, overtime, she finds herself entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme. She has to deal with her unhinged boss, played by Andy Garcia and the worsening medical condition of her daughter. Blunt, Evans and Garcia star along side Catherine O'Hara, Jay Duplass, Brian D'arcy James and Amit Shah.

Wells Tower penned the script with director Yates and Lawrence Grey producd the film. The movie originally had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Watch the official trailer above. Pain Hustlers hits Netflix on October 27.
