Netflix Drops Official Teaser for Guillermo Del Toro's 'Pinocchio'

Netflix has officially released the first teaser for famed director Guillermo del Toro's upcoming stop-motion Pinocchio film.

In this iteration, del Toro "reinvents Carlo Collodi's classic tale of the wooden marionette who is magically brought to life in order to mend the heart of a grieving woodcarver." The film follows Pinocchio's adventures as he navigates Benito Mussolini's fascist ruling in 1930s Italy.

The voice cast features a star-studded group that brings together Ewan McGregor as Cricket and Gergory Mann as the titular role. Others include David Bradley, Tilda Swinton, Finn Wolfhard, Christoph Waltz, Ron Perlman, Cate Blanchett, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman and more. The stop-motion film was first announced in 2018. The film is set to release in select theaters in November and on Netflix starting in December.
