Netflix Drops Official 'McGregor Forever' Trailer

Netflix has dropped the official trailer for its Conor McGregor docuseries, documenting the UFC standout's return to the ring after suffering a broken leg injury in the UFC 264 loss against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Titled McGregor Forever, the series features four, one-hour long episodes.

In the trailer, fans get a glimpse of McGregor's life beyond the ring, showing his commitments as a father and a husband. The fighter can also be heard saying, "I've been fighting my entire life. It's what I was put here to do." The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion can be seen recovering in a hospital bed from the 2021 bout, while pundits speculating whether or not he is capable of returning are highlighted. Skeptics have been wondering if McGregor would still be able to compete at a high level post-injury. The trailer continues with more clips of the 34-year-old Dublin-born fighter celebrating moments with his fiancée Dee Devlin and the rest of his family. He can be heard saying at one point in the trailer, "I don't let defeat faze me. The true champions rise again."

McGregor Forever is executive produced by Gotham Chopra, the co-founder of Religion of Sports, as well as Ameeth Sankaran, Giselle Parets, Audie Attar, Peter Berg and Matt Goldberg. Chopra is also the director of the docuseries. McGregor Forever hits Netflix on May 17.
