There's a new cooking show coming to Netflix in October, and it sounds absolutely perfect for the Halloween season. The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell stars "wickedly talented baker and artist" Christine McConnell, per the Netflix description. The show follows Christine as she "fills her home with haunting confections, creepy crafts-and wildly inappropriate creatures." Okay, this is my kind of cooking show.

Netflix files the show, rated TV-PG, under TV Shows, TV Comedies, and Funny Ladies (which is always a good sign). Also, according to the streaming service, Curious Creations is "offbeat, campy, irreverent, quirky, and absurd."

The poster for the show gives off major Stranger Things, E.T.-ish vibes, and I'm all for it. Christine described the show to MyRecipes.com: "It's like if Morticia Addams stopped in the middle of the movie and started explaining how to bake cookies."

Christine's macabre cakes boosted her to Insta-fame, and now more than 260,000 people follow the artist, photographer, baker, and author of Deceptive Desserts. Here are some of her spookiest creations she's posted on Instagram:

"The character I'm putting off on Instagram is kind of who I want to be," Christine told MyRecipes. "The show will be almost a dream version of myself."

According to Food & Wine, Christine will be cooking alongside puppet characters, as the series is co-produced by the Jim Henson Company's adult-focused spinoff. So far, there's not a trailer for the show, but the series begins streaming on Netflix on October 12.

Pumpkin-carving and binge-watching, anyone?
