Nestle’s Limited Edition Mermaid Smarties Are Just As Magical As They Sound
Yesterday, yet another delicious treat launched in the U.K., and now we're high-key jealous of our friends across the pond. What's got us so obsessed? Oh, just Nestle Smarties...that happen to be Mermaid-themed! That's right, these new yellow and pink chocolate candies are definitely giving us "under the sea" vibes, and we are here for it.

Assistant Brand Manager Lucy Fawcett told the press that Smarties chose to go with mermaid-themed chocolates, given that the magical creatures are "increasingly on trend." Between The Little Mermaid live action and mermaid-shaped cereal, it's clear that Ariel was on to something. Mermaids are a part of our world.
According to Bustle, the new Smarties can only be found on Asda shelves (sorry, Tesco and Sainsbury's shoppers), but are selling for £1 ($1.22) per pack. WHAT. A. STEAL.
And of course on social media, fans seemed to be pumped about the brand's latest launch, which is following the March release of limited-edition "Llama party" Smarties. Yep, they really are on a roll.
On Instagram, one user commented "Oh my days!!" which is the British equivalent of OMG. Cute, right? Meanwhile, another user commented "can I have some?" I mean, I'm not really sure what kind of answer that individual is expecting to receive...but I wish them all the best. Truly.

On the flip side of all of this fabulousness, I have to note these suckers are limited-edition, and it's not entirely clear how long they'll stay in the grocery aisle. So just make sure to grab them ASAP!
