Neo-Nazi group calls for assassination of 'race traitor' Prince Harry over Meghan Markle marriage

Counterterrorism police are investigating threats made against Prince Harry‘s life after a BBC investigation obtained hundreds of messages sent by extremists. Sonnenkrieg Division, the British branch of a violent American neo-Nazi group, deemed the prince a “race traitor” for marrying Meghan Markle and called for his assassination.

A spokesperson for the North East Counter Terrorism Unit told the Independent: “We are aware of the BBC coverage last night around Sonnenkrieg Division, and enquiries are ongoing.”

One propaganda image posted by Sonnenkrieg Division was of Prince Harry with a gun to his head featuring a swastika and the caption: “See ya later, race traitor!”

There have been many alarming messages over several months, including several sent by senior members of the Atomwaffen Division, the American faction of the neo-Nazi organization linked to five murders.

Atomwaffen, which means “atomic weapons” in German, celebrates Adolf Hitler and calls for the overthrow of the U.S. government through the use of terrorism and guerrilla warfare in order to establish a national socialist state. It is estimated to have between 24 and 80 members, according to the Independent. Messages sent on an online gaming server between members of the British and American groups also suggested that police officers should be raped and killed.

This grim news makes reports of a feud between Markle and Kate Middleton seem petty by contrast.
