Neil Patrick Harris Just Revealed the Only Former Costar He’d Trust to Babysit His Kids

PureWow had the chance to find out during an exclusive chat with Harris while he was in town to promote his partnership with Quaker Chewy and their efforts to equip kids with a wholesome, delicious snack—and give back to AdoptaClassroom.org at the same time.
He didn’t miss a beat when revealing his top pick for a sitter: Cobie Smulders, his former How I Met Your Mother costar.
“Cobie in many ways is the perfect woman,” he says. “She’s gorgeous. She’s effusive. She’s Canadian. She’s calm. She’s funny. She’s athletic. She’s the full package. She has two daughters and they’re remarkable girls. She’s just a rockstar.”
Still, there is one detail about Smulders that does give him a bit of pause about asking her to babysit. “The only reason I would distrust her as a babysitter is that she’d be a better parent than me. So, by sitting, she’d just reveal all of my personal faults to my children,” he laughs. “She’d leave and they’d say: ‘Look, that’s how it’s supposed to be done. Dumbass.’”
