Neil Patrick Harris Enters His ‘Cringey Dad Era’ in Embarrassing Video With His Kids

Neil Patrick Harris may be known as serial womanizer Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother—but in real life, he is firmly in his "cringey dad era." Just ask his kids.
On Thursday, Feb. 22, Harris posted a video on TikTok featuring his 13-year-old twins, Harper Grace and Gideon Scott, whom the actor shares with his husband, David Burtka. And we dare you not to get secondhand embarrassment.
"Aren't you guys excited?" Harris says to his kids, to which Harper says bluntly, "No," and Gideon sighs before asking, "What are you doing now?"
"I'm joining the Tic Tac!" the actor exclaims.
After Gideon immediately corrects him, Harris continues, "Yeah, this is my first TikTok. I'm going to have so many followers. I'm gonna ramp up my rizz."
"Never, ever say that again," an unimpressed Gideon replies.
Harper agrees, telling her dad, "You're not cool. You're not special."
"I'm gonna be a snack!" Harris declares, prompting his mortified daughter to yell and quickly exit the frame.
Harris continues, "TikTok is going to be legend, wait for it..." before music starts and he begins dancing. That's when Gideon bails.
"No, no! It's too cheesy," Harper insists from off-screen.
“Dary, we get it!” Gideon yells, finishing the word “legendary” for his father.
Eventually, Harris gives up, looking utterly defeated by the twins' lack of enthusiasm.

In the comments, TikTok users expressed their love for Harris while poking fun at the actor entering the embarrassing dad phase of life.
