NCT Dream Is Officially Coming Back With New Album "Reload"

NCTzens rejoice because SM Entertainment has finally given an update on the future of NCT Dream.

The teen subunit of NCT (currently made up of members Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung) is making their official comeback on April 29 with the release of a new album called “Reload.” SM announced the news on NCT Dream’s official website on April 14.

However, the new album might not even be the most exciting thing on NCT Dream’s horizon. Alongside the album release, SM also shared some details on the subunit's very own lineup, revealing the group will carry on activities in the future with a “reorganized system” that will also include original member Mark Lee (who is currently part of NCT 127, NCT U, and SuperM as well).

Until now, NCT Dream operated on an aged-based system, with members being switched dependent on their “graduation” age (19 international age, or 20 per Korean age reckoning). Mark graduated from the group back in 2018. However, now that he is officially rejoining, the subunit will stray from its rotational history to become a more fixed unit.

“After these album promotions, there will be a change in the system of the members graduating after becoming 20-years-old. The current members will not graduate, and including original member Mark, the seven members will carry out activities in a format like NCT U with the team name NCT Dream,” SM wrote in its statement, per a translation by Soompi.

Apart from carrying on with NCT Dream as a seven-man act, for their part, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung will also be joining new NCT units in the near future with “global promotions.” In short, expect NCT content for days in the coming months!
