When NCIS: Sydney debuted in November 2023, fans were ecstatic to delve into a new show. At the time, it was the only series in the hit CBS franchise to debut new episodes, as NCIS and NCIS: Hawai'i both paused production due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Although it was something people hadn't seen yet, it didn't take long for them to fall in love with the characters.

Just like its TV predecessors, NCIS: Sydney follows a group of special agents in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service as they investigate crimes out of Sydney, Australia. As the team works alongside a group of Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers, they solve incidents that involve both Americans and Australians.

As NCIS: Sydney quickly became the #1 broadcast drama on both CBS and its streaming site Paramount+, it's clear people want to see this team continue solving cases. And with the season finale airing in late January, it's likely viewers may want to know if new episodes are around the corner for them.

Is a new episode of NCIS: Sydney on tonight?

For those looking to venture back to Sydney, we hate to break it to you. Because the season finale aired earlier this month, there will be no new episode of NCIS: Sydney tonight.

While the series is off the air for now, folks can get excited because NCIS season 21 and NCIS: Hawai'i season 3 premieres are set to air on February 12, 2024, at starting at 9 p.m. on CBS. And if that's not enough, the show's official Instagram posted a hint about what's to come for our favorite group of government agents across the United States.

"The countdown starts NOW — #NCIS Season 21 and #NCISHawaii Season 3 premiere February 12 on @cbstv. 🎉," read the caption in November 2023. "We can’t wait to see you there! #NCISverse."

What's more, actor Wilmer Valderrama gave a sneak preview of what viewers can expect from NCIS season 21 when he attended the 2024 Golden Globes in early January.

"Because we're doing 10 and not your conventional 22, we've decided to have a little bit more fun with the new generation of streaming content and really have our show feel like something you have to watch all 10 together," he explained to Entertainment Tonight. "We're gonna try to make sure that every time an episode ends, you know, something in that episode is gonna carry over and we're gonna try because I think it's time for producers to evolve and the future of content and how it's being consumed... I'm really proud of what we're doing."

Looks like we're in for quite the ride!
