'NCIS' Star Michael Weatherly Posted a Cryptic Hint About Ziva and Tony's Reunion
Cote de Pablo guest starred on several episodes of NCIS this season as Ziva.
Viewers were upset when they didn't see her reunite with Tony (Michael Weatherly), but now the actor is hinting there might be more to the story.
Michael Weatherly is out here throwing another wrench into all that Tiva drama.
The actor played Tony DiNozzo on NCIS from 2003-2016. His character has a daughter with Cote de Pablo’s Ziva. Ziva was believed to be dead for years, but made a miraculous return this season where they finally alleviated her enemies so she could reunite with Tony and Tali.
Ziva’s second exit was emotional to say the least, as she prepared to meet Tony in Paris. Fans were furious that they didn’t get an on-screen moment from the couple, but were at least put at ease knowing they would be together in theory.
Enter Tony’s dad, Anthony DiNozzo Senior (Robert Wagner) who confirmed via a lengthy thank you note that everyone was doing well as a family. In fact, DiNozzo Sr. described himself as the “happiest pop-pop ever.” Seems fine, right?
But then Michael sent out a cryptic tweet that put the whole situation in a new perspective.
Hi. The thing to remember about DiNozzo Sr. is that he is extremely gullible. Most Con-Men are. You didn’t see a family reunion happen (or a long ago death happen!)... so maybe it didn’t happen? #ncis#tiva#holdout#headsmack

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?! Is he saying that Ziva and Tony aren’t actually together? Is he perhaps hinting at a bigger storyline with an appearance of his own?

His followers absolutely lost it, telling Michael he’s “getting my hopes up” and “Sooooooo you’re saying there’s a chance?” Others begged him to stop teasing unless he really meant business.
At this point, it’s unclear if Ziva and Tony will both be back on NCIS. But one thing that is very obvious is that fans may riot if they keep these vague hints coming.
