NCIS: Los Angeles was kind enough to give us two weeks to recover from the heartbreaking season 10 episode that changed Kensi’s life. But it’s time to pack away the tissues and get comfortable on the edge of your seat, because the crime drama is back-and revving to go.

Apparently, the action starts the minute the hour begins. In the sneak preview above, we’re promised that, “The first 90 seconds of this episode will be fast and furious.” If you’re wondering how they managed to pack so much drama in such little time, let us walk you through it.

First, we see Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) speeding down the highway, with Callen yelling at Marty to get “Closer!” to the truck in front of him. Sure, seems like a good idea.

Next, we look in on Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) who appear to be in the back of the truck that Callen so casually hopped on top of earlier. Deeks and Hanna are talking on the phone, and when Deeks asks “How’s my girl?” (aww, #Densi!), Hanna replies, “Just working out some issues.” Kensi’s method, it seems, is a quick fistfight with whatever criminal the team is battling this week.

How does the 20-second preview end? With Deeks saying Callen is, “About to do something really stupid.” Enter car screech sounds and frantic calls to “Brace yourselves!”

And that’s just the first 90 seconds!

Though we’re already stressed out, there’s much more to look forward to. This episode, called “Smokescreen,” will follow the LA base of the Naval Criminal Investigative Unit as they try to locate a terrorist cell that’s believed to be just days away from an attack. There will be a few guest stars joining in on the fun, including Medalion Rahimi who’s playing Special Agent Fatima Namazi. Esai Morales will also be back in his role as NCIS Deputy Director Louis Ochoa.

Ready to grip the sides of your couch for an hour? Tune into NCIS: LA Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
