From Country Living

  • Christopher Lloyd is guest starring onNCIS.

  • He'll play an "unapologetic curmudgeon" by the name of Joe Smith.

NCISis keeping us on our toes this season.

CBS already gave us the return of Cote de Pablo’s Ziva, which was enough excitement for an entire year alone (minus the disappointing Tony reunion). But on top of that, the crime drama is bringing us another major guest star this spring. What did we do to be so worthy!?

Christopher Lloyd, who needs no introduction due to his massive list of over 200 acting credits, will be joining the NCIS cast for an episode. According to TVLine, he’ll play Joe Smith, a 95-year-old former Navy sailor. His character apparently served on the USS Arizona during Pearl Harbor.

But like any newcomer on the show, Joe is more mysterious than he seems. The outlet described him as a “sharp, spry, and unapologetic curmudgeon” who has the entire team feeling unsure about his motives. Christopher has played plethora of roles over the years, so we can totally see him being either the misjudged good guy or the real villain.

There doesn’t seem to be a confirmed date for his episode, but since the season finale usually airs in May, we have to imagine it’s coming soon.

Christopher may be best known for his work on Back to the Future, Addams Family Values, and Clue, but he’s been pretty busy these past few years, too. He’s appeared on Web of Spies, Roseanne, 12 Monkeys, A.P. Bio, and more. His voice has also been featured on video games like King’s Quest and Kingdom Hearts.

Can’t wait to see how Christopher shakes up Gibbs and the NCIS!
