Get ready, NCIS fans: Tony DiNozzo is officially back and he's here to stay in a way you didn't see coming.

Just one week after Michael Weatherly surprised fans by reprising his role in a season 21 guest appearance, news broke he's returning for a spinoff series at Paramount+. According to an announcement from Deadline, Michael and his former co-star Cote de Pablo (who portrayed DiNozzo's romantic partner Ziva David) will reunite on screen for the first time in a decade, with the two starring in and executive producing the upcoming show. What's more, the streamer has already given the green light for the as-yet-untitled series (which is reportedly being dubbed NCIS: Europe), with a 10-episode order expecting to start production sometime this year.

If that wasn't thrilling enough, Michael quickly confirmed the news by sharing the story on X (formerly known as Twitter). "So … that happened …" he captioned the post on February 28.

Upon seeing the news, longtime viewers couldn't help but voice their excitement in the comments. "Beyond excited!! This is going to be awesome in all the ways! Thank you!!" one person exclaimed on X. "Finally, they give us [hardcore] fans what we really wanted. Tony and Ziva are back. Hell yes!! 👍," another agreed. "OMG!!! So psyched for this!!! 🙌❤️," a different follower added.

While the exact timeframe for when fans can expect him back in the NCIS universe isn't clear, it's evident Michael (and Cote) are thrilled to see where their characters landed after all this time away.

"We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now, with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready," they said in a joint statement, per Variety. "The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears and laughter. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world... To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now."

As for what to expect from this spinoff, the official press release reveals the show will follow Tony and Ziva as they raise their daughter in Paris. But as Tony’s security company is under surprise attack, "they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after."

It's also important to note this isn't the only NCIS series based on an O.G. character in the works. Back in January, CBS announced the order of NCIS: Origins, which will air during the 2024-2025 TV season and will follow the life of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in his first years as a special agent.

No matter the case, we can't wait to see Michael and Cote in action once more!
