Natalie Portman Talks Working With Julianne Moore

Portman faced her own set of hurdles, confessing that she didn’t get a chance to run through rehearsals with Moore. Wrestling with the challenge of not having that crucial rehearsal time together, the Black Swan icon spilled the beans, admitting she was “so scared.” The reason? “I didn’t know what she was going to do.”

“The good part about it was that the way my character studied her to become her, I had to do also. So I had to like watch everything she did and go like, ‘How am I going to mimic that?’” Portman told Variety at a screening.

On the flip side, Portman expressed her encounter collaborating with Moore in nothing short of glowing accolades.

“I adore her. I’ve admired her acting for so long and dreamed about working with her for so long and then, to get to see that she’s as kind as she is brilliant was amazing,” the Lucy in the Sky actress said.
