Naomi Osaka just won her first tennis match at the 2021 Olympics! The four-time grand slam tennis champion played against 52nd-ranked Zheng Saisai of China on Sunday, winning 6-1, 6-4.

Naomi talked with reporters after the match, saying, per ESPN, "More than anything else, I'm just focused on playing tennis. The Olympics has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, so I feel like the break that I took was very needed. I feel definitely a little bit refreshed, and I'm happy again."

Sunday's match was originally going to take place earlier, but was pushed back a day so that Naomi could hold the Olympic Torch and light the Olympic Cauldron during the Opening Ceremony in Tokyo.

Naomi opened up about the amazing experience on Instagram, calling it the greatest honor of her life:

"Undoubtedly the greatest athletic achievement and honor I will ever have in my life," she said. "I have no words to describe the feelings I have right now but I do know I am currently filled with gratefulness and thankfulness ❤️ love you guys thank you."

Per ESPN, Naomi also told reporters, "I feel very, very proud," adding, "When I lit the flame, I was super honored. I think that's a position that you dream about and not anyone can do it. So, for me, when they asked me if I wanted to, I was very surprised but very honored. And I'm just very happy to be here and very happy to play—especially in Tokyo."
