Naomi Campbell is channelling Edna Mode with her new bowl haircut and full-fringe
It was a big awards weekend on both sides of the pond, with the biggest stars in the world attending the People's Choice Awards stateside and the EE BAFTA Film Awards here in London. So we had a lot of incredible looks to swoon over, spoilt for choice. One of the biggest scene-stealers wasn't a film star at all and was none other than Ms Naomi Campbell. One thing about Aunty Naomi? She's going to serve.
Swapping her waist-skimming buss down wigs for a short bowl bob haircut, the national treasure had our jaws on the floor. It's low-key giving a high-fashion Edna Mode from The Incredibles.
The dense and blunt jaw-length bob worked in unison with the thick full fringe to frame Naomi's unrivalled bone structure and fan the fire, that is, those eyes. Let us breathe! The thick and brooding winged eye was smoked out up to the brow bone, adding to the cacophony of angles. The look was finished with a touch of gold in the inner corner and across the bridge of the nose to mirror that devilish sparkle in Naomi's eyes.
Adding to the theatre and drama was her sheer black veil hood, and the caped top of her her black Chanel gown. That bow under the chin and flouncing shoulders would make so many look like Little Red Riding Hood, but not Naomi.
