If movies about people trying to survive the extreme forces of nature are your thing (think The Revenant or The Mountain Between Us), then the newest release from Netflix will certainly be of interest.

Liam Neeson—who had another action thriller hit the streaming site's top 10 earlier this year—stars in The Ice Road, a suspenseful drama that follows a trucker trying to save a group of trapped miners before a dangerous storm threatens to destroy them all.

The film, which was released to Netflix yesterday, has already reached the #1 spot in only a matter of hours. Check out the trailer below.

“The only way up there is crossing the ice roads,” Neeson says in the trailer. “That lake has been thawing for five weeks now.” However, when his group heads out to rescue 26 trapped miners, they soon find out that some people may be trying to get in their way.

In Netflix's official synopsis, they write, “After a remote diamond mine collapses in far northern Canada, a ‘big-rig’ ice road driver (Liam Neeson) must lead an impossible rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save the trapped miners. Contending with thawing waters and a massive storm, they discover the real threat is one they never saw coming.”

Alongside big-time star Neeson, the movie features other major names like Laurence Fishburne ( The Matrix trilogy), Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter ), Amber Midthunder ( Legion ), Marcus Thomas ( Kill the Irishman ), Holt McCallany ( Fight Club ), Martin Sensmeier ( Westworld ) and Matt Salinger (Captain America).

The Ice Road was written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh, who has written major hits like Jumanji and Armageddon. It is available to stream on Netflix now.
