A New Mystery Begins in the Season Premiere of Hallmark Channel's 'The Way Home'

Season 2 of The Way Home is upon us! The new hit for Hallmark Channel stars Andie MacDowell and Chyler Leigh as an estranged mother and daughter trying to rebuild their familial bonds after the devastating loss of a brother/son incorporated with a time-traveling twist. The family drama began filming its second season in August with special waivers from SAG amidst the actors' strike in Hollywood. With the Season 2 premiere around the corner, let's dive right back in!

In the premiere entitled "The Space Between," Kat (Leigh) has an epiphany believing she's figured out where (or when) her brother disappeared to when he went missing all those years ago. As she excitedly tells Del (MacDowell) that she thinks she knows what happened to Jacob (Remy Smith), Del is less than enthused about Kat's theories.

After swearing off time travel for seven months, the pond calls to Kat and her daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) once again, though with unexpected results that set mother and daughter on distinct paths in the past. After leaving Port Haven once all the predictions had manifested, Elliot (Evan Williams) returns from his travels abroad but the status of his relationships with Kat and Alice are in flux. News of the death of Evelyn Goodwin, the town’s oldest resident and member of the founding family, brings back painful memories for Kat and Del but what she leaves behind in her estate sparks the start of a new mystery.
