The holidays have arrived, and design brands across the globe are gearing up for the occasion by offering a slew of furnishings and decor to cozy up your clients’ winter nest. From touch-controlled art deco-style sconces to rentable masterpieces by Renoir, here are 10 highlights from the latest round of launches.
Artemest debuted its reimagined New York gallery with an assortment of fresh Italian artisan-made designs. Along with a colorful selection of hand-blown vessels by Micheluzzi Glass and charred wood pieces by Riccardo Monte, a selection of new artworks by Antonio Fabozzi is currently on display inside the brand’s Samuele Brianza–curated space.
Robern unveiled a pair of state-of-the-art sconce systems named Tenor and InLine 2.0. The first draws inspiration from 1930s art-deco styles and features decorative metal endcaps, while the second offers a sleek rectangular form with a mirrored frame. Both come equipped with the brand’s proprietary Sway control for one-touch dimming, color tuning and individualized presets for a fully customizable lighting scheme.
Clarence House’s vibrant Indochine collection pays tribute to the motifs of the ancient Silk Road trade route. The line spans dozens of bold designs bedecked in antique Eurasian-inspired patterns, including the zigzagging, resist-dye-style Gandadar fabric, the block-printed Panneau Japonais wallpaper and the tiger-adorned Tibet tape.
Suzanne Duin added 11 new designs to her French Twist series for Currey & Company. In addition to the black-paper-shade Avignon pendant and the abaca-rope and wrought iron Vichy chandelier, introductions include the hyacinth-wrapped Annabelle floor lamp and the seagrass-swathed Deauville desk lamp.
Fayce’s latest textile launch, Tack, is a love letter to the fashions of the Gilded Age. The beautifully embroidered grasscloth is available in three earthy colorways (charcoal, dark teal and black), as well as a natural linen option, and features a simple tacking stitch pattern inspired by the sewing techniques used to create old-school corsets.
Vanguard’s Flynn dining table is teeming with brutalist appeal. Available in three distinct sizes, the monolithic design boasts a hand-poured aluminum tabletop supported by a concave, triangular travertine base that showcases an array of naturally unruly stone strata motifs.
Silk & Snow released the Rubberwood capsule. Crafted from light blond tropical timbers, the five-piece bedroom collection offers everything from a solid wood bed frame with traditional Japanese joinery to a nightstand outfitted in natural cane-rattan drawer fronts and full-grain leather pulls.
Sunbrella’s ReMade line is pure repurposed perfection. The circularity-minded launch offers a bevy of bespoke home goods made from upcycled performance fabrics, ranging from one-of-a-kind coasters and placemats to outdoor-ready table runners and wall hangings that double as picnic blankets.
On Approval made a splashy debut at the WestEdge Design Fair in Los Angeles last week. The brand-new online collectible-art platform offers thousands of ready-to-ship, original museum-quality works—including Rives Granade’s graphic-crayon-clad Memory and a circa 1890 oil painting by Pierre Auguste Renoir—across a wide range of styles and price points, with rental and lease-to-own options.
Hunter Douglas launched a new category named Aura Illuminated Shades. The series of window treatments features an innovative, three-in-one design with textured fabric fronts, a reflective room-darkening liner, and smart LED strip lights that mimic natural sunlight and allow users to control and customize the color temperature for a more ambient setting.
