Dior names Tomorrow X Together brand ambassadors
After donning custom Dior outfits for their Lollapalooza performance last weekend, K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together are now Dior's newest brand ambassadors. Dior's artistic director Kim Jones created the outfits the band members wore on stage, which mirrored the brand's pre-fall 2023 collection with its utilitarian feel. "It was truly an honor to share the stage with Dior, and we hope to continue to show Tomorrow X Together's versatility through this partnership," Tomorrow X Together's group leader Soobin said. {WWD/paywalled}

JAG Models announces nationwide model search
Diversity-focused agency JAG Models is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a nationwide model search beginning in September that will take place in Minneapolis, Atlanta and New York. Ten winners will be chosen to join JAG Models and appear in a campaign with one of the agency's brand partners. "When we first launched, we had about 50 models on roster. Today, we have well over 100, which is a testament to our team's diligence in finding the right talent — someone who is more than just a pretty face or a sample size. They're unique, they can command the attention of a room, and have a quality that inspires us," Jaclyn Sarka, partner at JAG, said in a statement. "Most of all, they have something to say and have other passions and interests beyond simply modeling." {Fashionista inbox}

Fashion executives keep talking about AI
AI is a hot topic within many industries as it simultaneously poses a threat to creatives and acts as a useful tool for technological advancement. A Business of Fashion analysis of earnings call transcripts from more than 30 public fashion, activewear and retail companies found mentions of AI, artificial intelligence and machine learning reached a new high in 2022, and 2023 may exceed that number. Generative AI is also growing fast as some companies aim to use the technology to "boost creativity and automate time-consuming or repetitive tasks," writes Marc Bain. Additionally, McKinsey estimates that it "could raise operating profits in the fashion and luxury sectors as much as $275 billion in the next three to five years." {Business of Fashion/paywalled}
