New report finds Shein hasn't improved conditions for workers
Two years after looking into Shein's manufacturing plants, Public Eye conducted a follow-up investigation into the fast-fashion giant, interviewing 13 employees aged 23-60 at six factories located in China. Public Eye investigators Oliver Classen and David Hachfeld revealed that illegal working hours and piecework wages are still a reality for the workers they interviewed. {Public Eye}

How Ozempic is becoming the next Botox
Medspas and telemedicine startups are increasingly offering injections of GLP-1 weight-loss drugs for cosmetic reasons, rather than their medically defined usage for obesity or diabetes. Business of Fashion's Liz Flora writes that GLP-1s could follow the same trajectory as Botox, which migrated from dermatologist offices to spas, but some are concerned about the overlap between medicine and cosmetic treatments. With a shortage of the name-brand drugs, medspas are supplying them through compounding pharmacies. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}
