Fashion designer Claude Montana dies at 76
Claude Montana, famed haute couture designer of the 1980s, passed away on Friday at the age of 76. His cause of death is yet to be confirmed. Montana became known as "King of the Shoulder Pad" thanks to his penchant for exaggerated silhouettes. In the prime of his career, Montana's work was celebrated alongside the likes of Thierry Mugler and Jean Paul Gaultier for their alike avant-garde, Hollywood-influenced and glamour-filled designs. {The New York Times}

YSL Beauty names Dua Lipa global makeup ambassador
Adding onto her responsibilities as global ambassador for YSL Beauty's Libre fragrance since 2019, Dua Lipa is now also the luxury cosmetics brand's global makeup ambassador. "For me, fragrances and makeup are another form of self-expression, a way to explore my playfulness, my creativity and my individuality," said Lipa in a statement. Mejuri and Ganni collaborate on limited-edition jewelry collection
Mejuri and Ganni — brands beloved by Gen Z in particular — are joining forces to release a limited-edition, four-piece jewelry collection. Centered around Ganni's signature clover motif, each piece is intended to celebrate "genuine friendship," according to a press release. Prices range from $98 to $498. The collection, which includes detachable clover hoop earrings, a clover ring, a clover charm bracelet and a clover pendant necklace, is available to shop now at Ganni.com, Mejuri.com and in select stores. {Fashionista inbox}

Rowing Blazers acquired by Burch Creative Captial
New York-based brand Rowing Blazers has sold a majority stake to Burch Creative Capital, Chris Burch's fashion investment firm. Though exact details of the deal have not been released, the aesthetically preppy brand's co-founders Jack Carlson and David Rosenzweig will maintain a small stake in the business, according to Business of Fashion. The new deal will allow Rowing Blazers to open a larger New York flagship store and expand its womenswear line, among other opportunities. Carlson and Rosenqeig will maintain their current titles of creative director and director of strategy, respectively. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

Skims' new campaign stars its employees
Kim Kardashian's latest genius marketing idea for Skims is a campaign starring the women who work at the brand across all departments, including finance, IT, design and more. "[The Skims team] serve[s] as a huge inspiration for the way we design, fit and style our collections," Kardashian said in a statement. "I thought what better way to highlight some of the women who truly make it happen here at Skims than to feature them in a campaign." Demi Moore stars in The Frankie Shop's L.A. installation campaign
To celebrate The Frankie Shop collaborating with Crosby Studios on a Los Angeles pop-up/installation titled "The Meeting Room," the brand presented a new campaign photographed by Collier Schorr that stars actor Demi Moore. Crosby Studios founder Harry Nuriev drew inspiration from women of the post office age when designing the space, where The Frankie Shop will display its latest collection.
