These are the stories making headlines in fashion on Tuesday.

Madelyn Cline covers Cosmopolitan
For Cosmopolitan, Emma Baty interviewed Madelyn Cline; the "Outer Banks" star spoke about how surreal her experience is, considering she went from living in her car to becoming one of Hollywood's most promising young stars. Cline also talked about growing up in South Carolina, her lip-care regimen and how she's in a very happy relationship. When thinking about her publicized breakup with Chase Stokes, she said, "I wanted us both to move on and be happy. People see the need for sides. There are no sides — there's no winning or losing in a breakup." {Cosmopolitan}

Jonathan Simkhai rebrands
As a part of a wider rebrand, Jonathan Simkhai is dropping the first name, and the label will now be "Simkhai." As reported by Diana Pearl for Business of Fashion, the shorter name comes in an updated logo font. With plans for international expansion and exploration into other categories, the rebrand will help the label become easily recognizable among consumers. "We've been thinking about how we can create a lifestyle brand and better impact the international market. [We wanted] a brand name that would be easy to pronounce globally, and is short, concise and effective," said Simkhai. {Business of Fashion}

Hilary Alexander has passed away
Fashion journalist Hilary Alexander has passed away at age 77. The British journalist was well known for her dynamic personality, love for leopard prints and long career at The Daily Telegraph. As stated by Samantha Conti from WWD, some of her accomplishments included being "named Journalist of the Year twice at the British Fashion Awards and given an OBE, or Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, by Queen Elizabeth II for her services to fashion journalism." Creatives and fashion insiders including Zandra Rhodes, Daniel Lismore, Lisa Armstrong and Caroline Rush reminisce on the impact Alexander made on the fashion community. "She tirelessly championed the designers, telling their stories and bringing their collections to life through expert references, and painting pictures with her words," Rush said. {WWD}
