'A must': This Louisville bar was named one of the best hotel bars in America

The Old Seelbach Bar at the Seelbach Hilton Louisville was named one of this year's best hotel bars in America by Wine Enthusiast.

The downtown Louisville bar offers several unique drinks for people who want to experience Kentucky culture, as it serves many drinks, including single-barrel bourbons, according to its website.

"The extensive bourbon selection is one of the largest in the country, and a must for Kentucky Bourbon Trail pilgrims," according to Wine Enthusiast.

The bar, and the hotel that houses it, is also rich in history. The Seelbach Hilton dates back to the 1900's, according to its website, and although it shuttered in 1968, the historic building remained a cultural icon for the city and was reopened in the 1980s under new ownership.

The building's architecture has made it a feature in popular media, including serving as character inspiration for F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby." The Seelbach billards room was also used as the backdrop for some scenes in the book's 2013 film adaptation.
