Murrells Inlet held their 32nd Annual Spring Tide Clean Up Event

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WBTW) — Volunteers of all ages strolled the streets and marshlands of Murrells Inlet on Sunday for the town’s annual spring cleanup event.

Miss Myrtle Beach 2024 Brooke Vu has been attending the event for the past four years, and her goal is always the same.

“My goal is just until my bag is too heavy and I can’t carry it anymore, but I know there are so many individuals out here that are donating their time and talents today,” Vu said.

There were many organizations at the event including the South Carolina Aquarium, the Chirping Birds Society and a local karate club.

Some parents from a local karate club have lived in the area for a long time and love helping out their community.
