Multiple Canadian Ski Resorts Pick Up First Snow Of The Season

Two Canadian ski resorts in British Columbia -- Big White and Kicking Horse announced this week that they'd received their first snowfalls of the season.

Here's the first wintry tease from Big White shared yesterday, September 19th.

Today, September 20th, Kicking Horse joined the party with a post of its own documenting a high-altitude dusting of snow.

As is usually the case for September snowfall, it's unlikely the wintry conditions will stick around for long. It's technically still summer, after all.

Still, the arrival of winter, even if it's truncated, is always appreciated. Like ski movies, first snowfalls of the season are appetizers, reminders that the main course -- the ski season -- is on the way.

In the meantime, there's not much we can do but wait. Or try on all your ski gear and look at yourself in the mirror. Okay, maybe that's just me -- try as you might, some silly habits are hard to grow out of.
