Mullets and mustaches wanted for this years Back Paddle Brewing Dad Bod charity calendar

LINCOLNTON, Ga. (WJBF) – Back Paddle Brewing is a small batch, craft beer, and farm to table eatery in Lincoln County, Georgia.

Over the years the brewery has been known for its good food, music, and giving back to the community with its Beer4Good fund.

Last year, a big contributor to the fund was businesses “Dad Bod” charity calendar.

Funds from the calendar sales went to the Beer 4 Good.

Men from around the CSRA submitted photos to be immortalized in the calendar.

Now the calendar is returning and the folks at Back Paddle Brewing are once again looking for submissions.

This years theme is mustaches and mullets. We caught up with owner Kyle McCloud about the charity calendar.

“We are announcing this years “Dad Bod” calendar theme and the beginning of requesting photos for folks who want to submit.”

How well did last years calendar do and what did it help?

“Last year we sold around 300 and the proceeds went to our Beer 4 Good fund, which helps local non profits in the CSRA. I think it was super successful, especially for our first year doing it. We had a ton of likes and shares and plenty of people supporting it.”

How does it make you feel that so many people helped support this cause?

“It’s fantastic, we’re just trying to help the community out here and it’s great to see so many people from around the community help.”

Where the proceeds are going to.

“This years funds will be going to a non profits that support men’s mental health and suicide awareness. I think these are causes that are sometimes overlooked. We recently lost a friend to suicide this year so it’s a cause that means a lot to us. That’s a cause that I think needs more publicity.”

Talk about this years theme.

“Last year the dads went all out, and went shirtless, this year we’re looking for mullets and, or mustaches. So those crazy hairdo’s that seem to be making the rounds again lately, and the crazier and better mustaches. You don’t have to have both but one or the other is great. Please try to give us the highest resolution photos that you can.
